Pediatric, play-based care that empowers children to thrive in their daily lives.

Let’s Connect

Welcome to The OT Collective! We are more than just an occupational therapy practice: we are part of your team, a support system to help you navigate your child’s development and support their unique needs.

We specialize in pediatric, play-based, care that empowers children to thrive in their daily lives. Our approach is child-led and evidence-based and is rooted in joy and connection because every child learns best when they feel safe, supported and free to explore.

We know that every family’s journey is unique. Our goal is to meet your child where they are, celebrate their strengths and help them build the skills they need to feel confident and capable in their everyday world. We strive to provide care that supports development in the ways that matter most to your family and your child.

What we do

Through play-based, individualized sessions, we help children build confidence and independence in a wide range of areas.

  • We support your child in understanding and organizing sensory input so they can feel more regulated, connected, and ready to engage in meaningful interactions and daily activities.

  • We partner with you and your child to navigate big feelings and transitions, fostering confidence, regulation, and participation in everyday routines.

  • We support your child as they build the strength and coordination they need for activities like writing, dressing, climbing, and playing.

  • We help your child develop the skills to plan and complete multi-step actions, empowering them to move through play and daily routines with confidence.

  • We build the connection between what your child sees and how their body responds, developing confidence for drawing, catching a ball, and handwriting.

  • We support your child’s relationship with food by honoring their sensory needs and readiness while helping them participate comfortably in mealtime routines.

  • We help your child gain independence with everyday routines like dressing, bathing, toileting, and self-care.

This includes a relaxed, play-based observation with your child (about 60 minutes), followed by a 60-minute parent phone call to discuss what we observed and how we can best support your child together.

Ongoing Collaboration

We stay in close contact with parents, teachers and other providers to ensure a connected, team-based approach that supports your child in every environment. I also offer in-school observations and school-based therapy sessions when appropriate, so strategies are truly integrated into your child’s day.

Hi, I’m Sarah Bronson!

Professional Experience

For most of my career, I’ve worked at Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, providing therapy to adults and children in an outpatient setting. My years there strengthened my foundation in evidence-based compassionate care and taught me that the most meaningful progress happens when therapy feels personal and connected.

I also trained at a well-regarded Chicago-based pediatric practice with a DIR-Floortime and sensory integration approach, where I gained focused experience in play-based, relationship-driven pediatric therapy.

After several rewarding years helping both adults and children conquer their unique challenges,, I decided to follow my heart and focus 100% of my energy on pediatric care in a way that feels most personal, impactful and family-centered - in the home. I’m constantly inspired by the creativity and resilience of children, and it brings me great joy to watch a child discover what they’re capable of achieving.
